Hi, Sofia. You are my favorite writer-director, Lost in Translation is the best movie I've ever seen. It's fascinating how good it gets with every view.
1) As a woman in the business, did you feel any struggles because of that? I mean, have you ever been discriminated or have you ever struggled to get a movie made because of sexism?
2) Some people connected Lost In Translation to the movie "Her". There have been voices who have said that "Her" (by Spike Jonze) is a response to your 2003 masterpiece. Have you seen it? What do you think of that?
3) How is your process of writing a screenplay? And what is your main goal to achieve in writing a story?
Thank you.

When did you write your first screenplay? How you look at it now and do you have any other original screenplays that are you looking forward to produce in the future?

Lost in Translation is a movie with an incredible moody atmosphere. It's so unique in that aspect. Did you had that in mind while writing it, or did it shape up that way while directing it?
