I'm gonna get this out of the way now for everyone: When – yes, WHEN – will you be releasing a solo album (of either the bits and pieces you've written post-XTC or, potentially more excitingly, a whole new solo project)?

Thanks very much for your reply! Even though the band aren't there to hammer out the tunes anymore, XTC's albums, and the songs you wrote for them, are deeply reflective of your personal thinking. English Settlement and Big Express, particularly, conjure incredibly vivid images of things you have seen/imagined, both musically and lyrically. Is it really not possible to ram these thoughts – I assume you still have them – into songs as eloquently as you have done in your previous work?! I for am keen to for you to carry on painting your personal experiences musically
