Were you raised in a certain religion and one day realized you didn't believe it? If so, what was the striking moment that made you realize it? How did friends and family react when you told them you didn't believe? Any words of encouragement/advice for people (like myself) who don't really believe yet still go to church so as to not upset my parents?

Was there any instance where a project in its earlier stages was complete crap, but then once you tested a later version, it was significantly better? Or vice versa (seemed promising but then later was terrible).
