Favorite food?

Really just wanted to say thank you for so many years of Mythbusters—that show inspired me to go into science and I miss it a lot!

When acting, are you consciously thinking about what your character would do (I.e. hand here, smile there, look concerned) or is it more like you become the character for a scene and everything just sort of comes naturally?
