My favorite GG quote isn't Lorelai's, but Paris's. It was raining, and Rory and Paris come in their dorm sopping wet. A girl passes by, notices they are drenched, and asks, "Is it raining?"

Paris, in Paris fashion, spits out, "No, it's National Baptism Day, get your tubes tied."

I am sorry to hear that some of that series was inaccurate. I couldn't stop watching it when I first saw it - it was riveting.
