Rich people have historically made their fortunes by screwing the less well-off and pinching every penny possible. Not surprised in the least.

One can only hope

You're missing the forest for the tees. If there wasn't millionaires and billionaires to cater to there wouldn't even be a building with which to have a problem. Someone else might directly pay his salary, but it's essentially subsidized by these rich folks. Also, I'd imagine the owner of a property such as this is right up there with these people.

But then again, maybe if there were no millionaires and billionaires, we could ALL live a decent life, instead of some at the top and some on the bottom. The world would be a much more just place if there was more room in the middle.
