I found the Christmas Truce to be the most powerful and compelling story I've ever read about. This commercial brings me to tears every time I watch it.

It's what inspired me to become a history teacher. In my mind, it demonstrates the power of an idea. A power so strong that it rivals the most destructive phenomenon experienced by our species. History inevitably repeats itself, so perhaps we can learn to repeat the good things too.

There are a very diverse range of opinions from young people on how to solve this issue, even within parkland, so why is so much attention given to only one side of the debate? That CNN town hall with the NRA in particular I think demonstrated this best.
