I've invested heavily in beanie babies. How secure is my retirement through the upcoming recession?

I have one Patti the Platypus and 500 other assorted beanie babies ranging from current market value of $.60 USD and $5.00 USD in various conditions.

I currently expect most stocks and bonds to tank and commodities like Gold and Silver that have been ballooned up by speculation to finally implode. As a result, I've been careful to opt out of my work's 401k and declined the financial advice of their free financial advisors regarding setting up health savings accounts and Roth IRAs and all that other obvious mumbo jumbo.

I expect after the market implodes I'll be able to trade Patti for a staffed aircraft carrier from the remnants of the US government and go from there acquiring real estate and the like with the others.

I hope to retire within the next three years, I'm 24.

I'm a larger mentally disturbed guy myself. Shit even if safety wasn't a concern I wouldn't want to be around other people like me. I'm a crazy asshole.

What does the work/social life/training balance look like? Back when I was a lot more into fitness than a fat middle aged man, working out 2-3 hours a day was easily do-able, but then I had kids and started having to work 60+ hours a week it became a lot harder to train that long.

I knew an ultra-marathoner who would sometimes train 6+ hours a day, but he was able to afford that sort of lifestyle because his parents had a decent chunk of money. As it isn't a sport that has as big financial payoffs as some professional sports that require that level of training, how are you able to afford doing it both in terms of finances and time?
