I'm not particularly religious or anything, but if Satan existed and wanted people to end up in Hell, wouldn't that be exactly what Satan would like you to believe, though? I mean, if I were an evil adversary of God and all and I wanted to keep you out of Heaven because, I don't know, that got me off for some reason, wouldn't I convince you somehow that there was no afterlife at all and set you up for some Alistair Crowley type shit?

One of the main tenets of LaVey Satanism is "Do unto others as they do unto you." So in other words, an eye for an eye.

In a world where nobody is ever the bigger person, you're basically setting up a huge downward spiral. Unless of course, you're relying on non-Satanists to end the cycle every time, which is exploitative and childish. So.. basically the whole "religion" in my opinion boils down to "Be a giant crybaby ass."

Atheism encompasses 99% of their claimed ideology but omits being a vindictive asshole, which Satanism encourages, so... I don't find much to recommend it over just being a socially aware atheist.

What exactly does Google get out of the content that I store on Docs? Are you parsing it for marketing/advertising use? Are you parsing it on behalf of the DHS or other government agencies? Should my daughter feel safe putting her novel up there? If you answer these questions, are you answering them honestly? ;-)
