What can each of us do to make sure that oil prices stay high? After all high oil prices reduces the number of cars on the road, puts less pollution in the air and actually saves lives.

How can there be more production if there is less demand? What are they doing with the expensive oil?

No, it encourages Americans to find alternatives to driving, as millions already have found. It makes it worthwhile to seek out other ways of doing stuff, rather than just driving everywhere you need. Amazingly people can survive without cars, electric of gas powered.
