What is your view on the White Tail spider and belief that they cause necrotic wounds?

As a nurse I sadly agree that people would have a diabetic ulcer, staph infection or gangrene and blame it on a spider bite, not their untreated diabetes or heart disease. I am still terrified of white tails though.. the way they walk sends chills down my spine ughh.
