Seconding what you said here about being a nude therapist. When my wife died six years ago, I couldn’t find a therapist or counselor at all—the waiting lists were six months long. So instead I found a stripper who’d been through a bunch of shit of her own plus therapy. She knew how to create a safe, non-judgemental space and she wasn’t afraid of grief or discussing death and loss. I saw her for four months, and that was the grief counseling I actually needed. Took care of the widow’s fire too—wouldn’t have made it through without her.

Hi Erika, thank you for this IAmA! My question to you is this: is there a more ethical way to obtain vintage porn, than via the current conglomerates of the ‘hubs?
Reason I ask is that I agree with you regarding your ethical stance, and would like to be able to pay porn producers directly. I am also a fan of the vintage US/Swedish/German/French porn made in the 70’s and 80’s when there was more effort put into ideas and locations and scenes. I am so tired of the consistent living room and bedroom scenes based in the same five California houses. However, there’s no easy alternatives I can find for the vintage porn. Are there actual alternatives, or, in this case is it ethical to support the ‘Hubs because they are at least curating and saving these old films?

I could see a market for those outtakes. I would love to see the humanity of the actors and enjoy sharing in the humor of a moment.
