Why do you keep accepting money for meaningless world records, often from appallingly abusive dictators who murder their own people?

Has this belief always existed or is it a newer phenomenon. If it is newer then what is the main reason/driver?

Not attacking you for this or knowing your own personal views but how did you feel growing up in a very segregated society?

Is there any impact on general life expectancy?
