If someone has a BAC of .12 and is staying within the lines, driving just fine, why should they get charged for DUI based on an arbitrary number, versus someone with a .00 BAC who is just a terrible driver and can't operate a vehicle getting MAYBE a reckless driving charge?
My personal opinion: alcohol shouldn't play into the charge, period. Either you're driving recklessly or you aren't, regardless of external factors. The charge should be reckless driving, no more or no less.

I prefer to just skip the phone call and do almost everything via written documentation. Or record the WebEx/Teams meeting as reference.
