How does the Flixster/TWX ownership structure work? Do you get Time Warner stock? How much editorial freedom do you have, and are there any guarantees? Theoretically you could get a call from your boss's boss's boss's boss telling you to find a way to give the latest Warner Bros. film a push over that line from rotten to fresh or else he'll fire you and find someone who will--right?

Wait, so his performance in that movie was itself his own greatest failure? Heavy....

Not Jon but it’s a math question so I feel qualified. They take 10%* of your profits when you realize them on the site, and 5% when you take the money off. You don’t have to worry about the 5% if you’re going to keep money on PredictIt for years, but realistically you probably want to take it off.

So if you max out something like NJ at 92¢ you’re putting up $1700 to win like $25 after all the fees and taxes. Not a bad 1 month return compared to a Treasury, but a lot of steps.

If you plan on keeping money on the site then holding a 99¢ through payoff never hurts. It’s just the opportunity cost of other markets. Like I wouldn’t max NJ until I’d maxed all the nationals, MN, NM, ME, NH, NV, etc.
