Likewise, the Green Party are also worried about us.
Should they be though? I've supported both the Pirates and the Greens for a couple of years, and I think they're perfectly compatible with each other. The Green Party takes net neutrality/privacy etc very seriously (in contrast to the 'main' parties), whilst their social and environmental policies are strong (and evidence-based) in areas where the Pirate Party is lacking.
Clearly the Greens and Pirates are in different places on the political spectrum, but I'm always cautious of political splintering when it comes to fringe parties. Thoughts?

This is one thing I just don't understand as a Brit. It feels like a fairly large amount of the population is pretty liberal, but - as you said - the left-wing papers are much less popular. In fact, the Guardian and the Independent - the only left-wing broadsheets in the UK - are the two least read papers.
They are only four left-wing titles out of the 13 national newspapers circulated daily. Crazy.

My take on it, since you haven't had many helpful answers:
I simply don't think you can take care of marine animals in captivity, in contrast to other animals which live in zoos and wildlife parks.
Fish - yes, Dolphins and whales (cetaceans) - absolutely not, Sea lions - possibly. Out of the various mammals SeaWorld uses for entertainment, I think sea lions are the only ones which can be humanely kept in captivity. Having said that, using them to perform tricks in shows is extremely questionable in the same way that it is for orcas.
It's up to the paying public to decide whether they support SeaWorld or not. Personally I'd like to see their sales go down and down until the company collapses. They're fully aware of what they're doing.

The Greens have a far more evidence-based manifesto than any of the mainstream political parties. As I've mentioned, I disagree with them on nuclear energy. However, their policies on healthcare; drugs; prisons; the railways; welfare; immigration; renewable energy, (and so on)* are much more solid than those of other parties.
Their policy on nuclear energy can be changed by becoming a member and proposing/voting on amendments to the manifesto.
*Edit: and net neutrality/privacy/digital rights of course!
