Is there a treatment like in the more common cataract that affects the elderly or since it's been present in the developmental stage of sight there isn't much you can do about it?

Afaik they use mostly grafts from the patient itself and more rarely xenograft (from another species like pig), allograft (another person) or artificial skin, it can also be harvested from cadavers but while not actively proliferating (at least the outer layer) can still be rejected and cause an inflammatory response so the preferred method is using the patient's own cells, it's determined on a casa by case basis tho, the degree and surface of burned skin (and the overall condition of the patient) determines what will be chosen, I'm no dermatologist tho so there might some other factors involved. I'm not sure if the excess skin can be repurposed.
