What happens if healthcare.gov says I qualify for medicaid but my state (Texas) denies me after the Open enrollment period ends? Do I automatically get a Special enrollment period?
I applied for medicaid but because of the way (from my understanding) the ACA and Texas medicaid treat income differently (basically my "income" currently doesn't count towards the ACA but does for Texas Medicaid) I think I'll be denied.
I'm considering updating my application to what my estimate for income next year will be, rather than what my "for sure" income of next year (some unemployment, but only 1000). Is that illegal? I would rather get some for sure coverage in the marketplace next year than risking getting my medicaid denied and no ability to get insurance at all.

I think what he did qualifies as more than a "mistake"
