Where did CCR get it's sound? What were some of your influences?

I always saw PETA as the Fox News of the animal rights world. They're way to overzealous and most of the statements they make are very exaggerated, and they know this. Take for example they're campaign against Nintendo, found here. They targeted the Super Mario Land games in which Mario wears a tanooki suit. Although most people found this ridiculous, the page also features a video detailing the chinese tanuki fur trade, where they are beaten and skinned alive, then sold over seas and used to make shoes(sometimes even being called fake fur.) Although it may draw a lot of hate it got information that not many people would care about on its own. Same with their super bowl commercials which are banned every year, then getting attention online then they would television. So my question is, do you the people who run PETA are actually much smarter than people think, or are they actually that fanatic?
