I have seen that happen!
JJ: Did you know the check was bad when you accepted it?
person: Well, the Gettier problem is a philosophical question about whether a piece of information that happens to be true but that someone believes for invalid reasons, such as a faulty premise, counts as knowledge.

I've smelled plenty of decomp animals and I'm pretty sensitive to it, but it's nowhere near as horrible as various living humans I've encountered.
I got in line behind a person at the supermarket a few days ago whose stench was unbearable. I'm not taking about stinky armpits or something like that. Trying to breathe 10 feet away from this person was like trying to inhale a bus. The air around the person seemed warmer, denser, and more humid than the rest of the atmosphere. My entire respiratory system went on strike citing unacceptably vile working conditions.
I've always wondered how people like ambulance crews and others who are forced to be in close proximity to stenchful people are able to cope. Adding a layer of decomp on top of that grotesque funk would be several bridges too far for me.

I'm interested in the answer to this as well, because I'm one of your completely disheartened voters. I still vote, but it's primarily only to vote against whatever Louie Gohmert-style goober the Tea Partiers have come up with this time around. Given that I live in Texas, the election is often just a "choice" between two Republicans desperate to out-wingnut each other in hopes of pandering to the crazy base, which itself isn't really necessary since they've gerrymandered themselves into a permanent majority anyway.
Aaaand now I'm pissed off.
