What you you think of the show Rescue Me as the child of an FDNY firefighter?

For lack of a better description, is everyone that has anything to with the FDNY that fucked up in one way or another? (With regard to the emotional trauma they deal with, the alcoholism, the nepotism, the dysfunction in general.)
