In California they put you on a 5150 which is a 72-hour hold, and if you don't seem to be getting better your doctor can lengthen it to a 5250 which is 14 days. I've been in and out of psych wards, and most involved ~30 day stays. :/

Why is some chocolate much, much cheaper than others? What accounts for the difference in quality--ingredients/production?

I had to pay for the meds they gave me (wayyy too much than I needed) and they were at ridiculously inflated prices.

Did people play any games; for example, were they allowed cards? If not, what did they do to pass the time?
