Dear Mr. Serafinowicz.

I am writing this as an apology. About two years ago I crossed Great Portland Street at the lights just below the tube station, and you crossed in the opposite direction.

The part of my brain that recognizes faces from various excellent TV shows and films worked very well that day.

The bit that connects the recognition bit with the name bit, controls what my face is doing and, crucially, stops it from gawping at people? Not so much.

So I essentially caught your eye and stared at you like some kind of demented walrus as you crossed the street.

To your credit, you made a face at me and kept on walking.

I get embarrassed about very few things in life - this is one of them. I would like to apologize for staring at you in a buffoonish fashion. In the unlikely event that you actually remember this - will you forgive me?
