Hey there! I've been following you on facebook for a while now, and you seem like such a good sport, and very willing to laugh at yourself for your presence in that, uh...interesting movie. Do you ever feel bummed out/depressed that you're forever "Lisa from The Room" or is it just something you can't help but laugh about?

Eh? Uh, that's nice, Olga.
...Okay, real talk, I want to say thanks both to you and to Craig Bartlett for the Pataki family being kind of genuinely screwed up in a way that I don't think you get to see in too many kids shows. I grew up with a mother that was struggling with alcoholism, and I also had a lot of general feelings of self-doubt and worthlessness, so it really meant a lot to see episodes focused on Helga where she had to deal with Miriam, and Bob, and Olga, and all the various anxieties that came with it. It felt very real and close to home. And your voice work was always really impressively emotive.
Okay, that's not really a question, so I guess I'll add: did you remember to take your constipation medicine?

No, thank you! Yes, things are much better now. I probably should have mentioned that in the OP. It was just a huge boost to my morale as a kid to know others were going through the same types of things, enough to make Helga a popular, relatable, and beloved character.

Hello Dr. Weiner! I was a PoliSci major at Assumption College and graduated the year before you started there. We met once when you gave a talk on Madison and the tempo of politics which I enjoyed though I have not yet read your book on the subject.
I tend to feel that on liberal websites like reddit theres a good deal of outrage towards the way the GOP is currently handling this 'tempo' via threatening government shutdowns, abusing the filibuster, blocking bills, etc. Do you feel we're still in "to be expected" territory of government slowness, or are we reaching a point where we should be genuinely concerned at the refusal for our politicians to work together?
I'm on my lunch break at work otherwise I'd love to ask more. I hope Dobski, Mahoney & vaughn are all doing well.

I know some people dislike how the movies were more campy and action packed and less philosophically deep than the show, but IMO "Assimilate this!" Is the greatest moment in the saga. You rock, Mr. Dorn!
