For both ya: is the casting process for voice-over work that much different than film/tv/etc.? How do directors decide who's best for the role?

How do directors decide which voice..."fits", I guess? Do they face their back to you and ask to read lines or what?

So for Infinite did the team describe booker than ask you "what do you see?"
