This is actually a question, not a lesson.

Did you know that in the late 1950's that Ho Chi Minh was attempting to establish a pro-US capitalist Vietnam, and that we wouldn't support him in doing so because it meant undermining French interests?

Whenever anyone says this, just infer that they mean "An amount of money which may cause you all to be upset with me by the very disparity between how much you make shoveling shit at your everyday job, and how much I make having a much happier life."

The culture of secrecy around earnings in the US exists specifically to quell the amount of anger people would feel if they knew just how badly they're being shafted.

Awesome! Thanks for the reply. As a student of history I like to get a full grasp on what information was widely known at the time versus at this time, if you know what I mean. Wasn't too sure if many people knew this little tidbit.

One of my favorite things about him is that he used the opening of the US Declaration of Independence as the opening words of his Declaration of Vietnamese Independence.

The main issue is phantom pain and hallucinations as a result of loss of the organ, which manifest in 26% and 30% of enucleation patients respectively. EDIT: Human patients, at least. ;)
