Wouldn't it be possible to use code or ideas from Firefox? I know they have spent a lot of time to make font load quickly and display correctly.

They recruited me from Sweden and there are a lot of people from other countries. My closest friends here are from China, Norway, Sweden, South Africa, Mexico and probably a bunch of countries that I forgot about.
