Do you plan on or have you monetized the site? What are your thoughts on invasive advertising (pop-ups, autoplayed audio) and why or why won't you use those on your site?

I'm a deck cadet in Canada. Here you apply to a college first and later apply for a cadet position with a company. My college lasts four years, with about 18 months at sea. At the end of college I'll have everything but the experience required to work as any rank of officer except captain. There are extra courses and requirements for that.

We take courses in navigation, firefighting, survival at sea, first aid, ropework, pollution control, emergency rescue etc. we get some time in full bridge simulators and our firefighting course involved live gas fires in a mock up of a ship.

Medium frequency/high frequency. They're the radio bands used for longer distance communication. Most handheld radios are VHF (very high frequency) or UHF (ultra high frequency) for places where there is a need to minimize explosion hazards.

Was there no shaft generator on the vessel?
