What is your favorite theoretical resolution to the Fermi Paradox?

Where is the science currently on the reason atypical antipsychotics often lead to weight gain? Certainly appetite is a big part, but I've read there are varying interpretations of how much the drugs impact metabolism directly. Where has research gotten to on figuring out why atypicals fuel weight gain? Is it ultimately just the "atypical munchies" that gets us?
