Follow up question, is the extra calories the only reason 3.25% milk (versus 2%) is recommended for children under 2?

Weird question, but as I’ve worked with government on the engineering side of things, did you have to disclose your extracurricular activities (aka participating in pole dancing competitions) to your employer?

Not OP but am a naval architect and I can confidently say that this only happens outside of their environment.

Not OP and not even a submariner, but I did work with a bunch over the years and heard many a story. One guy told me he never went straight home after a tour. He checked into a hotel and scrubbed himself clean, then he put on the one set of clothes he’d stuck in a ziplock before he left home the last time. His wife didn’t let him bring his bag into the house. The diesel smell just never came out of clothes.
In my job, I’ve never spent more than a few working days onboard a sub (at dock) a few times a year, but even so, even my coveralls have a faint diesel smell.

Your first point about having to deal with the third party for any changes or cancellations is why I never use those sites, not for lodging and not for transportation. I’ve heard too many horror stories about terrible customer service when you’re already in a bad situation. Even if it costs more, I’d rather deal directly with the service provider.
