Hi J.A. just wanna start by saying that The Orphanage holds up as one of my favourite horror films to date. The Impossible was also an incredible surprise for how visceral it felt. I had never had an experience like it before.

One major thing I notice in your films is your ability to get extremely strong performances out of young actors. How do you approach working with them and what kind of freedoms or restrictions do you have in the process?
