So much this. I'm willing to bet that this guy never sent proof to any mods. Supposedly this guy has large teams working for him, but he calls himself a serial inventor? Um... no, if you have large teams working for you, they're called engineers and you're called a company. Also, he didn't answer what kind of equipment is used in his "big lab."

I mean really? Patents are just minutes away from just a reformulation of the problem? There's a systematic way to invent stuff? Reddit, you're killing me.

Unless proof is given soon, I'm ready to call this guy just another delusional patent holder (as most of them that aren't working for or owning a form of tech company tend to be delusional) or in fact just not an inventor.

Thank you so much, I've found this to be a great articulation about why being Asian in the US is frustrating. The only thing I will add is that there is a prevalent bias (conscious or unconscious) as an Asian against congregations of Asians, especially the more "fobby" they are. American culture makes it so that Asians, as much as any other non-white group, feels that cultural assimilation is expected and that those who do not conform should be shunned. We feel these things about our parents, who often are more culturally connected back home than we are and may speak less English than us. We feel these things around our names, often choosing generic American names like Jimmy or Joseph. However, most dangerously and devastatingly, we feel this way to the Asian community, simply feeling inherently uncomfortable about our collective presence and identity in the US. I find that other minorities often manage to deal with these induced feelings of self- and kin-loathing a lot better than Asians, perhaps because constant negative experiences enforce this idea that they will be perpetually seen as non-white, but it seems like the lack of dominant negative stereotypes (besides the pernicious emmasculation of Asian men) and being considered white-adjacent really makes us think that we can assimilate. It's almost a self-fulfilling prophesy and not often taken seriously.

Honestly, I'm just fucking over the shit ton of AMAs with steaming piles of crap like this one or the "IAMA person who quit my full time to job to start a company!"

Also, there's definitely vote manipulation involved because honestly, who in their right mind would upvote shameless self-promotion like this shit?
