How do you feel about the pharmaceutical industry heading towards new medicines specialized to patients, such as recombinant viral therapy for those with genetic disorders?

I figured that was the consensus and I'm currently an aspiring molecular biologist 3rd year B.S. undergrad and I'm really interested in the impacts of and potential tools offered by the newly emerging recombinant technology. Thank you very much for you're feed back!
