I got implanon just after I had my kid, and it's great. The only side effect for me is that my periods are very irregular. I get it every 12-35 days and it lasts 3-10 days. I don't get period pain anymore, but I'm not sure if that's because of the implant or because something changed after I gave birth.

And it's completely reversible. I can have it removed and be back to my normal level of fertility after as little as a week.
