Interesting. On this side of the pond the FAA has confirmed AirTags are allowed on checked baggage. I haven’t heard any differently from the EU.

Now I’m super curious. The only two I’ve heard about are Lufthansa and AirNZ and both walked back the ban nearly immediately.

Google isn't yielding any, just that CATSA, FAA, and EASA all saying they're fine. I'm guessing it's regional? Sorry, just curious, I thought every airliner had walked it back at this point.
