Your mention of tivo reminded me that mine spontaneously started recording BBCA news - this is the first televised news I have watched in many years where I felt I was being informed without the Idiocracy or Faux elements.

What do you think it would take to get an intelligent news/journalism TV show to capture a significant audiences? Is there even a market for non-biased, un-hyped, sports-free, celebrity-free, science-literate, reporting on American television?
