I agree that creationism deserves to be ignored for many purposes.

This is a deep question that still does not have a good answer. Even the maintenance of sex is a puzzle, because there is such a short term advantage of asexual reproduction. One idea is that lineages evolved in which it is difficult to revert to asexual reproduction, and these lineages outcompeted lineages more prone to reversion over the long term.

Multilevel selection tells us that everything cooperative and altruistic at one level of a multi-tier hierarchy is a form of selfishness with respect to higher levels. What's good for me can be bad for my family. What's good for my family can be bad for my clan. What's good for my clan can be bad for my nation, and so on. So the highest form of morality is the largest grouping--something that very few people and no social institutions have achieved.

There have been too many good questions for one to stand out, but the best are the so-called "naive" questions. Since learning is a multi-step process, the question that helps you take your next step is the best one for you--and often proves to be helpful for others as well.
