I'm an American so the fact that you dont carry a gun is a foreign, but interesting concept to me. Do you ever think it would be nice to have one? Do you ever feel underequipped?

Take it in on a key ring full of keys. Make sure each key has tape on it with a different label, "house, garage, shed, etc," and just make sure the unduplicatable key has tape on it covering up the engraved writing. If one refuses to do it, take it somewhere else.

Also, some stores have those "key vending machines" that let you copy it yourself.

Maybe, maybe not. Not everyone will care enough to check, or even think it through. Worst they can say is no.
