Despite the opinions to the contrary, Lucid and other absinthes are using the same style of recipes and ingredients as they were back in the 1920s.
Wormwood can cause hallucinations at extremely high doses, but that isn't why it's in absinthe--it's a bittering agent. Wormwood never been illegal in the US--just absinthe, and that's a long story why, involving the wine lobby in France in the 1930s.
The effects of absinthe are mostly because it is traditionally extremely high proof--most come in at 120-140 proof--compare that to vodka which is typically 80-90. You're just getting drunker, faster.
The main difference between the absinthe of the 1920 and today is that the craft of distilling has greatly improved since then--you're actually drinking a better product.
TL;DR you ARE drinking real absinthe.

The reality of the situation is that in most markets, Comcast is the only option if you don't want dial-up. Do you think this will ever change?

That's one of the best questions I've ever seen in an AMA.
