My stepdad recently passed away and my mom speaks EXTREMELY highly of the people who came to transport his body to the funeral home. They were incredibly respectful and patient and made a difficult situation easier on everyone. Thank you for what you do!

This is the reason we have UNOS, right? There are tons of factors that go into deciding who is at the top of the list, including how urgent the case is, how long a patient has been on the list, of course the kidney has to be a match so the person at the tippy top of the list isn’t necessarily going to get the NEXT kidney. Obviously illegal things can still happen but I feel like the system is on the lookout for those things, including requirements and screening to make sure the donor isn’t being coerced in anyway.

Same question, I have several complications to look forward to anyway.

Do you have a source for that? Some people are only born with one kidney (hi hello, I’m awaiting testing to find out how many I have because I have a condition that frequently includes being born with only one) as well as cancer, injury because of accidents out of their control (I mean car wrecks, not skydiving accidents, but even then - are we all supposed to sit on the couch scared to live?)

What is “most people”? 70%? 80%? I find it hard to believe that your statement is true.
