When I was in junior high school we were supposed to reach out to someone that did something that we were interested in doing as a career when we were older. At the time I thought that I wanted to be a cartoonist and, at the time, you listed your email address alongside your comic. I had planned for a whole week to email you but never worked up the courage to do so and did my report on something else.
Did you get a lot of fan emails back in the day? Do you think you would have responded? (This was back around 1999)

A few months ago my fiance and best friend drove to Philly from Rhode Island primarily to see your museum and it was a truly unique experience. She was fascinated as she is a Veterinary technician but my friend and I had a bit of a different time.
Personally I found myself growing extremely anxious at the constant reminders of just how base and fragile our bodies and lives really are. I'm not used to thinking about how this is where we are all headed in 80 years, give or take. We'll spend the majority of our existence as a bone in a museum if we are lucky.
Has your constant exposure to the dead and ancient remains of others shaped the way that you view mortality and human life? Did it ever bother you?
P.S. We were there when there was a Lincoln/John Wilkes Booth exhibit being displayed. I've always been fascinated by late civil war history and felt like the exhibit was put there in anticipation for our visit! Really interesting stuff!
