very young infants don't have the ability to move away if they can't breathe. if you fall asleep cradling your baby against your body, it may be fine for awhile, or it may slump into a position where it's constantly rebreathing the air from its lungs, carbon dioxide. once babies are old enough to roll over and sit up, etc. they can fix the situation themselves. but a 3 month old can't. adults can sleep pretty heavily and not notice if the baby is struggling or whimpering. it's just a much better idea to have the baby sleep in a crib. but i don't think there's a parent out there that hasn't co-slept. especially when babies are sick or having trouble sleeping. my daughter had bad cholic and for the first 4 months or so only wanted to sleep on my breasts while i was halfway sitting up. i'm a very light sleeper and super paranoid, so i basically spent the whole time wide awake while she slept. it wasn't much fun and i had serious sleep deprivation. but here's another reason why you shouldn't do it. when my son was 2 months old, he developed pneumonia. he was daddy's boy and would only fall asleep when my boyfriend held him. my bf has a labor intensive job and comes home tired and when he falls asleep he's dead to the world. one night after my son's treatment (this steroid stuff he had to breathe thru a machine, i really can't remember what it's called), they fell asleep on the couch. they were laying in a way that my son had plenty of room and could breathe just fine. since my bf usually doesn't move once he falls asleep, i thought it was fine and went to bed. later that night i sat straight up in bed and couldn't figure out why. so i go to check on them and find that my bf has moved his arm so it's laying over our son's face. i moved his arm and at first the baby isn't breathing, but after about 10 seconds he takes a shuddery breath and keeps breathing. scared the shit out of me! i made a bottle and carried him around for awhile to make sure he was okay. everything was fine, but if i hadn't randomly woken up and checked on them, i don't even know. point is, it's a bad idea to sleep with your baby, but it's going to happen. soooo, just make sure it's the light sleeper that sleeps with the baby. i don't know. but everyone sleeps with their babies and OP shouldn't feel guilty, but i'm sure he does. it was a horribly tragic thing that happened to the OP and his son. but many other people have done the same thing without the tragedy happening. it wasn't his fault at all, it could've happened to anyone.

I love Invader Zim. I was so sad when it ended. That being said, do you have any new projects coming out? Any new books, shows, etc. that we might not know about? Or just anything you find interesting that you'd like to give a shout out to?

Me either. I just paid $91 for an exam. He told me what I already knew. Yep, your filling came out. Schedule an appt. with my secretary. If minimum wage is around $7.50, how are we supposed to afford a dentist? Why are there no income based dentists like there is healthcare? Sorry to rant. I have horrible teeth and this has been a major issue for most of my life. I can't imagine how bad poor elderly people that need dentures and stuff have it.
