How much of "Cashing In with TJ Miller" is improvised and how much is planned ahead of time?

Now the question: during your Q&A after that show, you mentioned that you are only in contact with a handful of family members due to various disagreements. How does that affect you and your girlfriend and son? How do you stay sane when you're pretty much isolated from the people you grew up with?
