Read Black Elk Speaks - it includes one of the first and only written accounts of Native American ritual. He was a Lakota, and I imagine that what little is written is different from tribe to tribe, but one of the important points in the book was that as soon as he told anyone of his visions that he would lose his power as a medicine man.

They may be fascinating, but many rituals are sacred and not written or spoken of for a reason - there is a better record of myth and stories, but I’m like sacred rituals there is a large variety and variance based on the part of the country in which they originated
