Shocking pink?

Speaking of close-ups, is there a demographic who enjoys them?

I've always thought they were taken by an over-enthusiastic cameraman who'd taken too much cocaine.

It's good to hear it's intentional, rather than what the editor gets handed at the end of a shoot and has to make the best of.

From what I remember of my time in Brazil, Cachaça was the drink of choice, a bit more potent than stout.
