We’re planning to cover levels 1 through 10 in full release.
Nice. That's about what I'd want. Part of what allowed BG1 and 2 to be such an expansive adventure is that they had a low level campaign and a high level campaign. If they'd just made one campaign that took you from level 1 to 20 or even 40 then it wouldn't have been the same.

In BG1 that would've been about 7 or eight. Up to 10 if you bought the expansion. That's about in line with the experience.
It makes every level meaningful and impactful. If you finish the adventure as an epic level adventurer then that puts you in a Pillars of Eternity situation where your character has to be reset for the sequel.

How does Resting work in this game? In one of your interviews you seemed to imply it will take 7 days for the tadpole to eat your brain, and in another interview you said there would be no day/night cycle, leading some people to speculate that time would be a more precious resource than in previous installments to the franchise.
The original Baldur's Gate games had gameplay mechanics that were esoteric and unintuitive. However, the gameplay also had a depth and complexity that has many players still coming back to them decades later. How is your team attempting to imbue your game with that kind of depth and complexity, while still being approachable to new players?

Saw a post on tumblr the other day about this old woman. She hadn't spoken to anybody in thirty years because nobody in her life knew sign language. She was so thrilled to finally be able to chat up a variety store clerk.
Do you worry that one day your son might not have access to a deaf community?
