Yea, he's a pretty squared away dude. I do believe it was the 82nd then, sounds more like him. He was a very hardcore soldier and is now a drill sergeant. He was in several battles right near you. He has some pretty scary stories too. Very similar to some of yours. Thanks for answering and I hope you find peace and fulfillment in life.

Hmmm, I'm not totally sure. He was in the 173rd airborne when deployed. And then was with the chosen and then a scout. I'll have to verify with my husband. Regardless, it was very cool to stumble upon this AMA and have it relate to a family member.

That makes me smile. He really is. I've seen the 173rd Herd University before so I recognized that immediately!!!
