Yup. Trades are definitely a good choice for finding work. But there is an obvious stigma against trades in foreign cultures . Im Chinese. My parents came to Canada for a) better education b) more job opportunities in things other than factory or labour work, which was all there was in Hong Kong unless you are super super in school. So it's pretty damn disappointing to see your kid, which you've poured your heart and soul so they Don't do labour work, get into..... A labour work job. Yes, in North America labour work is not a demeaning thing to be in, but in China, or India, or whatever, it certainly is. But reality is reality. So our foreign parents will have accept the fact that everything changes.
