Hello Mr. Gates,

You have previously said that, through organizations like Khan Academy and Wikipedia and the Internet in general, getting access to knowledge is now easier than ever. While that is certainly true, K-12 education seems to have stayed frozen in time.

How do you think the school system will or should change in the decades to come?

Thank you for what you do. I couldn't stomach doing this. I think factory farming is one of, if not the biggest atrocity of our times.

There should be public outcries until this is brought to an end, but unfortunately, people seem to be indifferent towards almost all animals. Speciesism sucks, and seems to be the cause of the majority of suffering on this planet.

What do think should be done to most effectively end this mass-suffering? I'm afraid hoping for lab-grown meat to catch on is not enough.

The sheer number of farm animals is staggering to be. I was shocked when I found out that 60% of all mammals are livestock, and 70% of all birds are chicken. Depressing to think that the average experience of conscious beings on Earth is suffering and pain, needlessly inflicted by us to get a short sensation on our tastebuds while saving a few cents on the bottom line.

As somewhat of a utilitarian, this is the most unjustified tradeoff I can think of.
