I remember the post-settlement smear campaign against the McDonald's coffee lady. She only asked for medical bills, but they refused and the court judged that she be paid far more.

Even though it wasn't her that asked for such a large settlement, she was painted as "that lady who sued McDonald's for millions over spilling hot coffee on herself."

I thought they wore Hawaiian flower-print shirts, sunglasses, porno-moustache, and had a penchant for showing off their chest-hair.
